2024 Ford Escape

The Ford Escape is available in seven trim levels: Base, Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, Platinum, and Plug-in Hybrid PHEV. The 2024 Escape SUV also comes standard with new LED reflector headlights with distinctive lighting, and the wheel size ranges from 17 to 19 inches depending on the trim level. With their distinctive wheels, strong grilles and spoilers, and painted rocker panels, the new ST-Line vehicles provide a sporty look package for three trims. These trims, and the higher Platinum and PHEV models, come with a power liftgate and other handy features.

The Base, Active, and ST-Line trims come standard with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that achieves up to 180 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. Moving up to the ST-Line Select, Platinum, or ST-Line Elite gets you the 2.0 EcoBoost engine, which offers 250-horsepower 2.0-liter and 280 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available as an upgrade for the ST-Line trim. The PHEV includes an a 2.5-liter iVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 hybrid engine capable of 163 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. This hybrid engine is available as an upgrade for all other trims except the Base and Active.

All trim levels except the ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite come standard with front-wheel drive. The remaining trims include all-wheel drive with AWD Disconnect, which is an available upgrade on the other trims, excluding the PHEV, as an upgrade.

The Ford Escape boasts a strong 3,500-pound towing capability when fully equipped with the optional Class II Trailer Tow Package and the available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. All of the available engines are powerful and fuel-efficient. With features like all-wheel drive disconnect, seven selectable drive modes, and trailer sway control, the Ford Escape helps you stay in control of any towed machinery. What's more, every 2024 Ford Escape SUV aims for an EPA-estimated range of at least 400 miles per tank, whether it's propelled by one of the two available EcoBoost engines or a hybrid powertrain.

The Escape has plenty of room for up to five people, and the rear seat may shift forward or back about six inches to increase the amount of baggage space from 34.4 to 37.5 cubic feet. Ebony is the interior color choice for the Base model, while Space Gray or Ebony is available for the Escape Active, Platinum, and PHEV variants.

ST-Line Select and the below trim levels include an 8.0-inch infotainment system, but you can upgrade most trim levels to the 13.2-inch display that's standard on Platinum trims and higher. Both screens have Wi-Fi capabilities and feature Ford's newest Sync 4 infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Ford Escape comes with Ford Co-Pilot Technologies, which includes standard features like automatic high-beam headlights, a blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, and a pre-collision assist system. The latter includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and dynamic brake support. Finally, a post-collision rearview camera setting is standard, along with lane-keeping assist, lane-keeping alert, and driver attention alert.
