Every new Ford comes complete with a series of warranties that protect you against any possible defect in your vehicle due to a material or labor-related issue. Since there are many different warranties, as your Ford dealer, we’d like to tell you more about your car warranty provisions and the type and duration of protection provided.

New Vehicle Limited Warranty

This warranty provides bumper-to-bumper protection for all your car’s systems and components for three years/36,000 miles. Any work necessary to repair, replace, or adjust any component under this warranty will automatically be completed by a dealer free of charge.

Powertrain Warranty

The powertrain warranty applies specifically to your gasoline engine, transmission, and drivetrain components. It protects you against any unforeseen issue with any of these vital systems. The warranty doesn’t cover general wear and tear, for example, a drive belt that wears out due to normal usage. This warranty applies for five years/60,000 miles.

Power Stroke Diesel Warranty

This warranty and the one above are mutually exclusive, as this warranty only applies to diesel engines. It provides the same level of guarantees and protection but excludes damage due to normal wear and tear. The diesel warranty applies for the first five years/100,000 miles.

Hybrid/Electric Unique Components

Hybrid and electric vehicles have a range of components that are completely different from any gasoline or diesel-powered vehicle. This warranty provides full protection against defects with any of the specialized components in hybrid or electric vehicles. It applies for eight years/100,000 miles.

Corrosion Warranty

Corrosion is an ever-present threat to any metal, and your Ford has specialized in-built protection to protect against this. Under normal conditions, your Ford shouldn’t suffer from perforation damage, which is corrosion that eats through the metal from one side to the other. This warranty applies for five years/unlimited mileage.

Emissions Warranty

Combustion produces the energy that enables your car to move. Unfortunately, this process also produces a range of dangerous gases like carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide. Your Ford has a highly efficient emissions control system that converts these gases into harmless gases and water. This warranty protects all the emission system components against any latent issue, and its duration varies depending on your Ford model.

Safety Restraint Warranty

Ford’s are well-known for their advanced safety systems. This particular warranty focuses on the safety belts and airbags. It’s valid for the first five years/60,000 miles.

Ford also offers a range of protection plans that you can choose from. These plans take effect at the moment the original warranties wear out and extend your coverage into the future. You can choose the plan’s duration and also the deductible.
